All the information you need about how to watch the 2020 MLB Draft and who was taken in the first round.

The 2020 MLB Draft kicked off on Wednesday night. Things look a little different this year, as the draft has been shortened from its usual 40-round marathon down to a five-round sprint and will be conducted virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Detroit Tigers did what was expected with first overall pick in Wednesday’s first round, taking Arizona State slugger Spencer Torkelson, but things quickly went off the expected script with the Orioles’ pick of Arkansas outfielder Heston Kjerstad at No. 2 and Miami’s pick of Minnesota pitcher Max Meyer at No. 3.
