Full highlights from the 2016 MLB All-Star Game

The MLB All-Star Game is one of the best times of year in America’s game. There are so many reasons for both the fans and the players to show up in masses and make it an all-around great experience and it’s not just home-field advantage in the World Series being on the line.

One of the things that’s great about the leage right now and that really shines in a situation like the 2016 MLB All-Star Game is the absurd amount of young talent that takes the diamond in the Majors on a daily basis. Obviously you have the Mike Trout and Bryce Harper type players out their as the transcendent talents, but also guys like Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts getting their first starts in the All-Star Game.

However, the action from San Diego on Tuesday night was quite impressive throughout the night with Salvador Perez showing off what he’s able to do with the lumber and hitting the biggest home run of the night to give the American League the victory.

Of course, we’d be remised to say that the 2016 MLB All-Star Game wasn’t mostly about David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox continuing his retirement tour and being showcased on more time. All in all, it was a night to remember in baseball and one that you should be trying to catch up on.

The American League, powered by Perez, was able to pull out the victory 4-2.
